Open House: The Great SoCal ShakeOut
In conjunction with The Great Southern California ShakeOut activities throughout Los Angeles and earthquake prone counties, The International Green Sield (IGS) will be featured at over a dozen OTM Fight Shops covering the majority of high risk earth quake regions, November 13-16, 2008. IGS will launch an initiative to fund scientific research, education and outreach efforts for areas hit by recurring natural disasters. This fun, educational environment will feature Professional Athletes for Environmental Cause. Appearances and recognized athletes include Gina “Conviction” Carano, Frank “The Legend” Shamrock, Huntington Beach Bad Boy Tito Ortiz, Affliction’s Josh Barnett, MTV True Life’s Kit Cope…. And more.
A nation’s response to crisis is dictated by the strength of its economy. Therefore, the Green Shield is designed to research new sciences for protection before disasters occur while simultaneously strengthening the economic mechanisms that cure us after disasters strike.
